Well here is an update on my trip to Ecuador.
Left Monday AM @ 6:30 for Guayaquil, Ecuador on the Pacific Ocean side arriving to my room and into bed about 1:00 AM.
Since we are at or below the Equator this time of year is considered Winter. This morning while up a Playas, Ecuador where we held the Pastors Conference we were able to go down to the beach and view the ocean. This town has miles of beach access with Life Guard Stations as far as you can see. It is the Pacific City of Ecuador or at least one of them.
Weather is in the 80’s during the day. Cools down at night and there always seems to be some high broken grey clouds in the sky. It is humid but not like the summer months or rainy season.
Let me tell you all a bit about what has taken place since leaving PDX. Flight was good to Atlanta. From Atlanta to Guayaquil I encountered a minor problem but the flight was great. Seated where I was in 6B I happened to be right next to the rest room. When people had to use the rest room they would stand in the aisle instead of in the galley and that became interesting. Leaning up against my shoulder, bumping, leaving the restroom door open and you can just imagine. There is always some fun involved. I think that I can still smell toilet chemicals even today.
Tuesday AM after about 4 hours of sleep we headed to start our Conference in Playas. Arriving at what is called a Bilingual Church, (Spanish and one other Dialect) we began our meeting about 10:00 AM. I was partnered with Dr. Jaime Miron and his lovely wife Gail. He goes by this name all over the world, but his American name is Jim Williams. Jaime works as VP for Luis Palau Association. He has been with Luis for over 40 years. He is Super Fluent in Spanish and knows enough about the Bible that he’s been part of a Team that just finished a new Spanish Translation that is much more accurate than previous ones, for Tyndale. Pretty interesting to say the least.
As most of you know, I don’t have any formal ministry degree except for my Honorarium and a whole lot of schooling from God’s Word and most of all the Holy Spirit. PTL! Paul sums that up for me in the following 2 verses.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (AMP)
4 And my language and my message were not set forth in persuasive (enticing and plausible) words of wisdom, but they were in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit and power [a proof by the Spirit and power of God, operating on me and stirring in the minds of my hearers the most holy emotions and thus persuading them],
5 So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God.
It is exciting to flow in the knowing of His Word and His Power.
On Tuesday Jaime took the AM session. I chose to take the afternoons both days. Once we had finished lunch I was chomping at the bit to share what was on my heart. After the introductions and a time of prayer the stage was set for the Holy Spirit to do the rest. We had a great meeting. At the end around 4:00 we had some singing and a time where those that wanted to be anointed with oil were to come forward.
In my preparation for this meeting I said and saw over and over the church empting and moving to the front.
Romans 4:17 (AMP)
17 As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in Whom he believed, Who gives life to the dead and speaks of the nonexistent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed.
As God would have it that is exactly what took place. Men, women, young people and children came to get a touch from God. What a pleasure it is to be His instrument. Much took place during this time of prayer and anointing. Pastors and lay people alike encountered the Power of God that afternoon. We finished about 4:45 or later and headed to our room for some rest and prep for our evening meal in Playas.
Wednesday once again began with 70-90 people starting and ending. Jaime and his wife Gail did the AM session and once again I chose to bat clean up. Oh My, My, My! The Spirit of God took me in several directions always showing, telling and leading the people to His Word, the Cross, the Spirit, and the Reality of Jesus today.
What was exciting right off the get go was to engage them in “That’s My King” reading and acting upon it. Oh do you know Him????? The set the stage for some kind of afternoon. At the end of the meeting I was impressed to speak a Blessing over the people. When the singing was done and things were right I invited them to come. You got it. The whole front etc. filled up. God was once again moving by His Spirit.
I went to each and every person and prayed for them individually besides corporately. It was blessing in itself to see and experience. When the Spirit of God is moving and you are flowing in the Anointing, to me it is a shame not to finish all that has been done and started without an Altar Call. When you say “COME!”, that is all it takes when people are ready to allow God to change their lives. Come they did. Oh Praise His Name.
It proved to me once again, that the Devil is a Liar and that JESUS is the HEALER!
Now, That’s My King!
There were 2 special pastors there that were very encouraging to me this week. Pablo, was one of them and was part of the organizing of the meeting. He was a very sweet, caring Spirit Filled pastor. The other was Fabio, my translator, and AG pastor and now a friend as is Pablo. Fabio did a great job and was ministered to thru out the conference. I was honored by both Pastors by them inviting me to speak over the weekend at their churches. When I told them my travel plans, they agreed that there would have to be a next time. I was blessed and honored.
Well for now that is all that I have other than letting you know that all the Mini Festivals that Reid Saunders is doing thru out the city are going very well. the Finale will be this weekend in the Big Stadium. Much is being accomplished on the ground by so many energetic young people who are here to help and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The GOOD NEWS!
I will be sending pictures of my trip in a day or 2.
These notes and the pics will also be on the www.TillTheWholeWorldKnows.com web site. Tim Gilman is in charge of that for me, and I so appreciate his help.
Everyone have a great rest of the week. I so much appreciate you and all your prayers and support. You are a part of this trip. I will see you all on Sunday and again on Monday where I will have time to share even more of what took place here in Ecuador.
God Bless and Keep. It was not by my power, but by the Spirit of God this has all come about.
Zechariah 4:6 (AMP)
6 Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.
